Black Flexible Track Lighting

Black Flexible Track Lighting | One of the things you frequently hear LED lights, is their beam angle is narrower as opposed to old fashion incandescent lights, or perhaps as opposed to newer CFLs.

What does this mean which is it a challenge?

The beam angle could be the angle of which light is directed through the lamp. So a tiny angle of 20 degrees could be right for a spot light, focusing light on just one small area. If you want more general lighting, spreading light over a whole room, a larger angle of perhaps 90 degrees could be preferred. In most domestic lighting situations beam angles of 30-45 degrees are sufficient to light a space comfortably.

The idea that LEDs have narrow beam angles stems through the older technology LEDs which are indeed designed for focused light in the narrow area. Today this is don’t true. New technology now implies that LED lights are available in the wide selection of beam angles, from narrow spotlights to wider general lighting. Some LEDS are available in the selection of beam angles from 15, 30, 40, 45, 60, 90, to 120 degrees. What this means is there is a great deal of choice on the market, sometimes so much choice it gets confusing for your buyer. You can don’t just grab a lamp through the supermarket shelf. There are decisions to get made!
