6×6 Led Post Lights

6×6 Led Post Lights | One of the things you often learn about LED lights, is their beam angle is narrower than the old fashion incandescent lights, or perhaps than the newer CFLs.

What performs this mean and is it a problem?

The beam angle will be the angle at which light is directed from your bulb. So a small angle of 20 degrees can be right for an area light, focusing light on just one single small area. If you want more general lighting, spreading light over a whole room, a more substantial angle of perhaps 90 degrees can be preferred. In most domestic lighting situations beam angles of 30-45 degrees are sufficient to light an area comfortably.

The idea that LEDs have narrow beam angles stems from your older technology LEDs that have been indeed designed for focused light in a narrow area. Today this is don’t true. New technology now means that LED lights are available in a wide array of beam angles, from narrow spotlights to wider general lighting. Some LEDS are available in a array of beam angles from 15, 30, 40, 45, 60, 90, to 120 degrees. What this means is there is a great deal of choice in the marketplace, sometimes so much choice who’s gets confusing for that buyer. You can don’t just grab a bulb from your supermarket shelf. There are decisions being made!
